We entered Enya into the Australian education system through the 'School of Distance Education' based in Brisbane Queensland AU.
After almost a year and a half of home-schooling we decided to send her to a state primary school basically to let her learn to play with other kids.....
3 terms later we have decided to remove her from the 'system' and educate her at home. Our daughter is quite gifted in many areas. Reading, Reasoning, Theatre to name just a few. Her first dance performance scored her a first place in a local eisteddfod as did her first stage appearance in a local speech and drama eisteddfod. She will learn a poem and present it to us as a gift.
Sadly here were no such interests at school, and other kids looked at here as a bit of a freak.....
So this blog will be a record of the education and adventures of our daughter Enya....
We have many 'normal' folks interested, confused, scornful, and discusted at our choices... So all comments are welcome.... But be warned we give as good as we get in plain Australian English!!
